From Isolation
To Fellowship
From Uncertainty
To Confidence
From Overload
To Shared Ministry
Counseling can
feel confusing
and lonely.
Many pastors and leaders feel the weight of counseling needs but lack a trusted, doctrinally aligned path forward.
Today there are countless voices, videos, programs, and opinions about “biblical counseling.” Sorting through it all can be exhausting—and much of it does not reflect the theology, philosophy of ministry, or spiritual posture of Calvary Chapel.
Many faithful servants quietly feel:
- Unsure which voices to trust
- Alone in the counseling burden
- Concerned about drifting from Scripture’s sufficiency
- Hesitant to outsource soul care outside the church
- Hungry for fellowship with like-minded leaders
CCFBC exists to bring clarity, fellowship, and confidence.
You don't have to carry this alone.

Clarity
No more guessing which counseling voices align with your theology. You gain access to trusted, curated, Scripture-sufficient training shaped by Calvary Chapel convictions.
Fellowship
You are no longer isolated. You walk alongside pastors, leaders, and counselors who share your heart, theology, and calling.
Confidence
You grow in biblical wisdom, discernment, and practical ministry skill so you can serve your church with greater assurance and peace.
We understand
the burden you carry
Many of us have lived this personally.
Years of pastoral ministry reveal the same reality again and again:
- The counseling load is heavy
- The needs are complex
- The laborers feel few
- The training pathways often feel misaligned
- The heart longs to keep care within the church
CCFBC exists because this burden is real—and because Scripture provides everything needed for life, godliness, and soul care.
Our desire is not to replace pastors, but to support them.
Not to professionalize counseling, but to strengthen discipleship.
Not to build an organization, but to cultivate fellowship.

This is not a program.
It is a fellowship of shepherds, servants, and counselors walking together.
A Trusted Fellowship for Calvary Chapel Soul Care
CCFBC provides a central gathering place for Calvary Chapel churches to grow in biblical counseling ministry.
We offer:
- A growing network of like-minded biblical counselors
- Scripture-sufficient training shaped by Calvary Chapel theology
- Online cohorts and certification pathways through the Biblical Counseling Academy
- Curated resources for pastors, leaders, and counselors
- Fellowship, mentorship, and mutual encouragement
- Events, gatherings, and future regional fellowships
- A doctrinally aligned council for theological clarity and accountability
This is counseling God’s way—rooted in Christ, grounded in Scripture, and expressed through the local church.
Rooted in Calvary Chapel Heritage
CCFBC did not emerge in a vacuum.
This fellowship traces its roots to the vision of Pastor Chuck Smith, who desired to see pastors and leaders equipped to counsel biblically within the life of the church. That vision continued through the ministry of Pastor Bob Hoekstra at Calvary Chapel Bible College and the development of the Counseling God’s Way framework.
Today, CCFBC is shaped by:
- Longstanding service within Calvary Chapel ministry
- Relationships with Calvary Chapel pastors and leaders
- An advisory board and council of pastors and pastors’ wives
- Ongoing partnership with leaders who share this burden
This is not outside expertise speaking into Calvary Chapel.
This is Calvary Chapel shepherds strengthening Calvary Chapel churches.
